i'm having odd problem internet connection. when use wireless connection, cannot connect pages (gmail, google, xkcd, youtube) while other websites (twitter, tumblr, blip) load fine. i'm having problem both firefox , chrome, , miro won't download youtube either. pinging these websites works fine, though. when connect wirelessly through android phone, internet works fine. when start computer in windows 7, works fine too. have idea problem be? edit: have updated system , can access pages again. not entirely sure if though. if knows anything, i'd curious. when export multiplexed audio causes short audio in encore. works fine when not multiplexing 2 separate files prefer have come in 1 file simpler beginning students. mpeg dvd multiplexing has worked without hitch years somehow, (but not always) audio comes in couple seconds short on cs6. have seen thread on subject, didn't have solution other not multiplexing. since multiplexing still option, should work.  yes, multiplexing supported, has had did not work expected. apparently had better luck many.   because encore (any dvd authoring program) must de-multiplex such streams before can build vob containers, has made sense me use default/recommended method mpeg2-dvd/mpeg2-bluray/h264-bluray - separate files video , audio.   since of time problem results, choice teach mpeg , how redo export demuxed or teach demuxed. either legitimate option. a few days ago started having problems ubuntu 12.04 on samsung laptop. i've not had similar problems when running 11.10, on dual boot on same computer. posted thread on laptops , hardware forum; there 77 views , no responses. submitted first bug report, , checked potential security flaw. did re-install bc machine became useless. editing system settings, went power settings, , began move 'level of brightness' bar (right above box says "check dim screen"). again, computer froze, briefly. quit playing it, new install still seems working, , trying move brightness level thingy default won't screw me up. still new linux user, possibly yellow belt, not sure sort of timeline expect on fix/patch/response bug report. new install has created similar problem, convinced bug somehow related screen adjustment/power saving settings. need add original bug report? when can expect sort of response, if @ all? since feel in together, appreci

this upsetting, had gazelle pro running smoothly after 12.04 upgrade months back. anyway, got message today system upgrade 12.04.1 available, went run it, , tells me can partial upgrade. run , on reboot command line. tried restart lightdm , fails. switch on gdm , fails too. problem seems xorg or nvidia driver. xorg.0.log: nvidia(0): failed initialize glx module, blah blah blah nvidia(0): failed initialize nvidia kernel module. blah, blah, blah ... screen(s) found, none have usable configuration tried reinstalling nvidia driver it's telling me it's current. appreciated. running dmesg gives me: nvrm: api mismatch: client has version 295.49, kernel module has version 304.37. please make sure kernel module , nvidia driver components have same version. has problem. how fix it? hello, have 3 screens, when first reinstalled ubuntu (i had none of these issue in 11.04 few months back) main screen configured, witch kind of usual on linux other screens not configured default (kind of bad, aint real issue) so, fresh install, did updates, configured unity launcher icons smaller (down 32) tried wow in wine, great. now, big thing, configuring 2 other screens though nvidia config tool. setted screens 1, 0, 2 (so first screen in middle) how i've done in 11.04 too. now, after 3 screens activated, can notice on login screen of ubuntu (nearly) useless yet amazing , interesting features, login info box switch 1 screen folowing mouse, , noticed did configure screens in right order (i tend mix 2 side screen, hehe) basicaly, right here, mouse move screen well, no issue @ all. guess what? login.. then, notice i'm stuck big unity icons, not did configure them... notice configuration option gone menu!? witch makes me realise i'm in unity

i making pdf editable form fields out of indesign cs6. when make interactive pdf, font, helvetica neue  being substituted default font, times roman. client has provided me last years pdf has nice san serif editable fields. need change font either helvetica neue, or @ least nice san serif common system font. have acrobat x. thanks in advance!! you have in acrobat. can select font have installed allows editable embedding. if choose other standard base-14 fonts (times, helvetica, courier, etc), entire font gets embedded, can cause large increase in file size. hello fellows,   i have adobe lc designer es2 v.9.0.0.2.20120627.2.874785 , experiencing 2 problems related office 2010:   1. designer not find word 2010 on computer although it's installed. known issue, , requires installing service pack 2 quick fix or modifying registry manually.     downloaded quick fix adobe support page when running patch (for 9.0.0.2.x versions), says not match installed version or cannot find it.   2. if manually fix path word 2010 in win7 registry, lc designer crashes when importing doc. file (it happens when designer completes import operation). tried importing docx, doc, , rtf files - same result.   do have suggestions on how solve these 2 issues?   tia! roman More discussions in LiveCycle Designer adobe

running ubuntu 12.04. system suspends fine, not return life. reset button it. i have designed postcard 8.5 x 5.5 inches (half sheet of letter paper).  trying print 2 on page xerox phaser 7760 printer - there no bleed in file.  can not find anywhere in indesign print dialog have print 2-up.  have been using ms publisher years , in print dialog gives me page options allows me choose copies per sheet.  hoping change on indesign deal breaker....almost 2 or 10 page , need design file final size - in other words not open copying , pasting there 2 on page - make many adjustments file throughout designing process , multiple copies lead errors.  isnt there setting in program allows me print 2-up if fits on page?  please help!! file>print booklet   choose 2 consecutive     or set new file , place them on page.   you can place indesign files inside indesign files. problem fcp xml export premiere pro 7.1.0   it's screwed worflow editing premiere proxies created in resolve. all worked fine in pp cs6 workflow 1. in resolve: create quicktime proxies dngs created raw magic via 5diii 2. import proxies [b]premiere cs6[/b]. each proxy comes in correct 'tape name' matches reel name of clip in resolve 3. edit in premiere 4 . fcp export .xml >> 5 . opens in resolve. editng proxies arere-linked raw dngs inside resolve, using <reel> names (you can see them inside attached xml).  good.   but premiere cc 7.1.0 opening xml in resolve gives me 'failed link because timecode extends not match'   world of pain - can't manually relink 100's of dng in resolve.   examning xmls - premiere cc 7.1.0 seems have stopped exporting <reel>   could please test/confirm premiere cc 7.1.0 & resolve 10   i have attached 'good' , 'bad'  xml's. i have file which, upon opening in cs6, changes part of text symbols , keeps rest normal. fonts change helvetica (tt). changed font helvetica regular , remained symbols. what's weird if select on page , paste new document, goes normal. if save, close, reopen changes symbols again. had cs5 open idml version , looked fine on computer, when tried package fonts kept locking up. ideas?!? huge pain try 4 page newsletter out if have copy , paste whole thing each time open it!     what know file history?   you can learn quite lot, usually, byt holding ctrl key on windows or cmd key on mac , choosing indesign fro either (win) or indesign(mac) menu. hello. interested in application gets installed. in other words, after "apt-get install some_app", apt-get put "some_app"? in folder structure, go? question comes me following problem. wanted install blender. but, though did "apt-get update", "apt-get install blender" brings me old version 2.49. went blender's webpage, downloaded newest version (2.63), unpacked in downloads folder , able run terminal typing "blender". ok, want in ubuntu's application menu. need do, put downloaded folder or whatever, version 2.63 installed , in application menu? thank you. most executables go in /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin , configuration file(s) go in /etc. in accordance guidelines layout . if still have .deb file cached in /var/cache/apt/archives/ can use dpkg -c list files in package. or can online in packages database . that, too, list files in package.
