hello,   i've been working on items in illustrator, , noticed huge change when transfer them photoshop.  doing creating images (and text) in illustrator.  then select, control + c copy, paste 300dpi document in photoshop add textures, etc.  once brought in... text pixelated , not clear in illustrator.   what doing wrong?  or how fix this?   left (is photoshop image) after transfer ------ right (original image in illustrator) you did not if screenshots @ 100% or zoomed in, or if digital or print,  has alot this. how @ 100% scale in photoshop, 1 pixle data = 1 pixel of screen reoslution?     300 dpi common resolution continuos tone ct in printing.  linework resolution between 1200 & 3386 dpi. i've had issue past few weeks, i've been desperately trying solve. bought brand new samsung 64gb ssd, installed windows 7. easy peasy far. installed ubuntu run along side it, using 1tb secondary hdd /home , swap. installed fine. however, after rebooting after install, grub not load, instead receive following error: html code: loading operating systems read error though have admit, it's possible in fact motherboard read error, , not grub, can't sure. anyway, if go bios , change sata mode 'ide', grub loads fine, doing so, no os boot afterwards. require ahci ssd have performance boost after when purchasing it. workaround have perform boot, hit f12 display alternative booting options such disk, usb, etc, bios splash. have choose cd option , grub screen loads fine under ahci fine. it should noted don't have disc in cd-drive when this! after that, windows loads fine grub, have load ubuntu recovery, , choose &q

any idea how solve following issues? i have 6 versions of 32pp a5 indesign document, each 1 different language. working on them yesterday. 4 worked fine, , saved work done on them. 2 appeared working of day, , saved work doing in them until 3pm. however, these both last saved 2 days previous. since 3pm, neither of these documents has saved work done, , haven't been able save or close documents, or without saving changes. close indesign have force quit. indesign lock files appear remain open though documents not open. have tried saving documents under different name, doesn't work. colour of pasteboard reset default colour.   my colleague started getting these issues couple of days before did in similar document working on. did lot of work on document 1 day, , saved regularly. next day went document , found none of work had been saved, , document says last saved on 14th november! because of this, created new document, , copying problem document on new one. appeared working initia

i'm using lightroom 4 on shiny new 27" imac , have old dell 24" display, not led backlit, secondary display. both have been calibrated spyder 3. preview photos on imac display default , use edit controls on old dell display setting pain in butt , won't return configuration after quit lr , open again.   even when right-click on dock in os x mavericks , select "options/desktop on display 2" splash page on display 2.   is there way make lr open default on system's secondary display (dell 24") , use imac lr's secondary display? i have same problem: i use older imac hp display (a good, calibrated one). imac dock sits , use main display. use lightroom on hp display colors more accurate. not in dual monitor mode, regular. since upgraded mavericks, lightroom starts on imac display , want start on hp display. i haven't found solution yet... it's impossible select things dock stated above ("even when right-click on dock in os x mavericks ,

i purchased pricey mac pro company, intention of utilizing it's dual gpus & processing power fast turnaround times on video projects. turning on gpu acceleration in premiere, however, renders machine useless. can use premiere (gpu acceleration on) single monitor, hook 2nd, have no playback anywhere. no video signal program feed or preview window. question is, why has adobe not provided multiple gpu support graphics card ships in brand new macs (ati radeon hd5770)? side note, there no driver updates gpu on amd website either. frustrating , disappointing. next logical question: how adobe respond screw up? the ati hd5770 kind of old card. also, mac, have rely on apple graphics drivers (more times not). version of osx runnning? upon opening, window titled "power statistics - device history" blank. in terminal, gnome-power-statistics doesn't result in output. i've realized problem not occur after fresh login, logging out , logging in fixes it. various programs seem trigger problem (gimp, firefox, dillo). scratch that. it's loading upon first attempt, never loads on second attempt. if don't want have blank window, do not close gnome power statistics using cross(x) @ top. use close button @ bottom close application. if have blank window , want have application running appropriately then open terminal (in ubuntu ctl +alt + t). type command: ps -a | grep gnome-power. you process gnome-power-sta. note pid @ left side. in case pid 5051. then type command:kill pidvalue . in case : kill 5051. can re-open gnome-power-statistics , statistics without logout , login. hello,   i have project i've compressed down windows media file (119 mbs) sake of client being able play video without lag. sequence settings are   29.97 1920x1080   i have text intro created in c4d fades in film dissolve.   when renered natively, have no problems (i.e. no pixelation in intro) viewing .mov, client needs 119 mb compressed file, , complaing of pixelation when .mov starts.   isn't result of compression, or there way render i'm missing? at start of post talking windows media file  .wmv   , time reach end of post talking quicktime .mov file. that's confusing. i'm @ complete loss. ame worked me long time , booting yesterday gave me paralyzing error.   upon trying import mov, mp4, , later wmv, received following error: file import error the file c:\users\tj\desktop\new folder\sh_gs_peekplay_demo_720.mp4 not imported. not open source file. please check file exists correct permissions.   i've tried can think of: 1. moved file off server , onto desktop. 2. double checked file permissions (all of have) 3. uninstalled ae , premiere try rid of media encoder. 4. searched way uninstall ame put fresh install (can't find how this) 5. manually updated ame 6. reboot (multiple times between these steps) 7. contact customer support - no far.   i'm running windows 7 64bit adobe cc , ame 7.0.1.58 try moving off desktop , proper folder on internal drive. hello,   i'm working in college computer lab has 18 imacs - each student has network user account use log work off of our server. of files stored on server, not locally on computer. imacs running osx 10.8.5 indesign cs6. our server older unit running osx server 10.5.8.   each student has user directory on servers hd array. way have resolved issue before remove students user account in workgroup manager program on server, delete user folder (on server), , re-create account, should last resort.   here's have tried far (but no avail) resolve crashing on network user accounts.   1. delete students adobe indesign folder in user directory: user/"username"/library/preferences/adobeindesign. 2. delete indesign user prefs when launching indesign on network account cmd+shift+cntrl+option 3. replace adobe indesign folder (in user/"username"/library/preferences/) newly created network user test account works.   the issue tied network user account, if log local user acco
