i'm trialling presenter 9 , captivate 7.   i have compaq cq61-320sa latop 2.2 ghz dual core processor , 8 gb ram. it's 3 or 4 years old. display adaptor entry in device manager says has mobile intel 4 series express chipset family (microsoft) , driver date. my ubuntu 10 crashes (every 2 hours) , have cut current solve it. nothing works during system crash. ctrl+alt+delete, ctrl shift escape, kill process, force quit, nothing works cutting current of system long pressing on/off key. happens during switching of windows compiz window ring switcher, , during rotating of desktops compiz rotate cube. animations +extra animations opening , closing windows on. without happened. rotating cube bottleneck. set off ring switcher , animations, still happens rotating cube. disabled options of compiz few months ago speed computer (dual core 1.7 & 2gb ram) , reenabled features ring switcher, rotate cube, negative screen, snap windows. uninstalled compiz now, hope computer alive next time starts again. because compiz makes big changes. maybe virus because of ppa 's (automatic updates). copy terminal commands found on internet terminal , run it. maybe because of that. solution without upgrading ubuntu 12?

since installing mac os 10.9 , photoshop cc, .psd files not want open photoshop cc. if open "get info" window on .psd file, can set "open with” adobe photoshop cc individual file, if click “change all” , click “continue” in pop-up box, goes “adobe cs6.app”, no matter do. even files created in ps cc revert opening cs6. very frustrating. i’m loath deinstall cs6 @ point, , not convinced help. any ideas?   i suspect issue not photoshop os. have repaired permissions yet? started 10.04. had linksys e1000 wireless router. told needed buy penguin wireless n usb adapter off of thinkpenguin website. did, couldn't things working until 11.04 came out. after issues solved , things worked great. when 12.04 came out, thought upgrading , problems create, figured wouldn't ubuntu team's plan move backward, upgraded. things worked fine little while , web pages stopped loading. if reset internet connection in ubuntu menu in upper right hand corner (i log off, log on) things work fine again 10-15 minutes. seem problem occurs faster on sites trafficing more info, example, takes youtube video 5 minutes stop loading, or open youtube video @ same time , browser cannot connect until reset connection. regular site containing reading information limited animation doesn't give me trouble fast. typing have 2 other sites open containing readable info, , yet having no issues navigating forum, have

hi guys, the title says really. i trying render after effects file in cs6 i opened premier pro , created dynamic link. crashed after while , both programs fail start up.   i have tried of suggested fixes no avail. for information: have cc installed , runs fine. if log in user clean profile run fine. im guessing common user based issue.   premier pro stops working on launch after effects freezes on mediacore loading. gives message saying quicktime not installed on computer (it is). if click okay proceeds crash dialogue box refers dynamiclinkserve.exe   becasue seems profile based im thinking reinstall wont make difference here.   all appreciated all best chris most recent updates installed. windows 7 More discussions in After Effects adobe

greetings! in need of ubuntu-linux masters. own asus eeepc 900 , i'm trying install android x86 on , when installation of android x86 finished , restarts error code: grub: file not found <grub-rescue:> this happens when i'm trying install android x86 os on 16gb ssd netbook has. tried installing os on sd card , gets installed fine. tried googling solutions read , have understood, netbook's bios buggy. os writes data on ssd bios cannot read , file not found. possible fix have found (i don't remember link) guy installed android os in virtual box, saw running ok, transferred ssd via terminal commands know nothing terminal commands. tried copying sd card's partiotion ssd via gparted install android os on ssd because it's slow when it's running sd card. how fix grub? note: understand these forums ubuntu android , ubuntu both linux, things stay same that's why ask here.

hi, have installed command-line ubuntu system, on ssd of 240gb. var , tmp files on disk. there's no swap, , have 16gb of ram. on top of installed gnome-shell , applications needed. problem results 20gb used system. estimation around 6gb should used match sum of /usr /libs /opt , other main dir residing on ssd. in case usage shouldn't higher 8 gb. question, why "df -h" command , gparted gave me result 20 gb used on disk (it disk size 223gb,20 gb used , 203gb free)? can't see 12-14gb gone. using disk usage utilities not solving issue. technically should have hibernation since not have swap partition. don't know suspend, read should affect ssd, ram. what filesystem using?
