hey, folks! bouncing baby ubuntu 12.04 user here. i'm living in japan, , english windows costs moon here, decided take plunge , install ubuntu on new acer aspire 1 d270 laptop. unfortunately, seems ubuntu , wifi card have... personality conflicts. can see available connections, when select home internet connection , enter password, tries connect couple of minutes asks password again. , keeps asking, every few minutes, if hit cancel. have disable wireless stop asking wireless password, if that, won't turn on, or when does, home wifi missing list of available connections. wired connection works fine. i've tried few solutions forum , elsewhere, because seems common problem, i'm worried did wrong, or used wrong solution, because couple of them made problem worse (wifi wouldn't enable, connections won't appear). so! have done clean install of ubuntu 12.04 live usb again. starting scratch, know issues 1 came with, not 1 created noobish mudd

ive tried following various items of advise offered people similar problem here , no success. i had big hic-up in acrobat installation no longer working here removed default font used in context menus. consequently acrobat messed up. adobe tech patiently walked me through fixing problem but... ever since .indd files set open acrobat , can't set them open indesign. registry key has couple of monster number entries under indd can't identify or figure out represent.   this starting drive me nuts. using 'open with' has no effect. acrobat still tries open file. way can open indesign file firstly open indesign , search file. thankfully still open way. i've got full house of cc on workstation , i'm not thrilled @ hood of formatting drive , starting on again. surely else had had , fixed issue?   thanks, r uninstall , reinstall id. hello, on debian box have lamp configured , working well. want add script has these pre-requisites: php 5.0.2+ following libraries installed. --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs --with-mysql --with-zlib --with-curl --enable-mbstring --with-gd --with-jpeg-dir=/usr/lib how go making sure these dependences met? see mysql , zlib in phpinfo.php. should saying i'm newbie , not got clue do! thanks.. mysql, zlib - can see these in phpinfo, said. mbstring - should able see in phpinfo too. curl & gd - need install packages php5-curl , php5-gd, phpinfo should show these, after restarting apache. --with-jpeg-dir=/usr/lib i'm not 100% sure this, if install php5-gd, think phpinfo show gd jpeg enabled. apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs can't one. hey everyone, have been beating head past week trying dns server school doesn't have money pay filtering service. admit novice linux did best of reading , learning squid , squidguard install , configure it. feel confident installation of both squid , squidguard, did not receive errors installation, squid not seem working. firefox keeps telling me proxy server refusing connections, feel it's more of issue of squid not running. curious thing in terminal type sudo service squid3 start , line of running , process number. whe use command sudo service squid3 status, shows squid has been stopped. have attached conf squid , squidguard. let me know if there else can post better idea of what's missing. hope close getting done, feel i'm close i'm missing something. thank in advance, jonathan attached files squid&squidguard.zip (63.0
