i have following machines: router (192.168.0.1) intended-gateway (192.168.0.2) client (192.168.0.3) , i'd set default gateway client intended-gateway, has router default gateway. ideas needs done this? i'm guessing enabling ip forwarding on intended-gateway , iptables rules enable nat? in advance. if need machines on same network, need enable bridging, not nat (basically make intended-gateway act switch, not router). i running windows 7 64 bit, , wanted try out linux. downloaded ubuntu 12.04 desktop, downloaded usb installer mentioned on http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/...ick-on-windows . followed directions, , installed iso onto flash drive. rebooted machine, , booted usb. tried run linux flash drive, got lot of text. eventually, stopped, , kept repeating line on , over: udevd[169]: timeout : killing ' sbin/modprobe -bv pci ..................................... , lot of jibberish. have no way of copying text know of, that's gist of it. tried using different program create flash booter (unetbootin) , tried running flash drive, , got same error. going on? want try linux out, has been endless pain. issue graphics.. try booting pci=noacpi flag. if boot successful, install system , reboot. use flag again if required on first boot , install graphics driver. normal reboot.

i think have tried every permutation make work, missing something.    i creating single dps ipad app indesign, , using typekit font throughout.  far good.  i have created edge animate project using same typekit font.  in preview mode, fine well.    however, when place edge animate project frame in indesign , use web content folio overlay (regardless of whether use .oam file or link directly .html output published animate), typekit font not show in edge animate portion of dps app , instead use fallback font.    can suggest way make typekit fonts in edge animate work when embedded in dps app?  (for it's worth, have same problem when embedding html output tumult hype, seems unlikely issue edge animate @ , has more in way dps app dealing embedded html content.)   thanks in advance assistance.  moved dps forum. okay...totally lost here. decided use 12.04 installation cd (amd64) upgrade 11.10 (amd64) system. didn't want wait download because work off of ubuntu system. well, genius here, started upgrade , when tried find profiles me suck 12.04 couldn't find anything. wellllllll, decided cancel upgrade (series of button clicks) , try download day (wanted profile). error saying effect couldn't find way start ubuntu led me believe sdb2 improperly unmounted (i.e. stuck). got live-cd (11.10) , tried mount , chroot sdb2 failed. upon exploring on sdb2, behold don't have dev directory!!! see else, profiles in home , happy files don't want loose. of course, i'm asking how &@%!!*$ did happen , #%**^%^@ do? lol appreciated. no /dev means can fresh install it's best , fastest solution; might not problem if still have separate /home partition. i have never figured out how build illustrator file in way fill other option (that know of) use live paint.  unfortinately live paint wrecks line weights.  makes object noneditable later down road.  found out hard way logo project @ college , spent on 30 hours on trying fiddle illustrator program, looking tutorials never seemed work me , nonstop frustration.   this time live paint doesn't work @ all. (i'm trying paint in more complicated object simple logo).  first off object has gaps in it, , when click "gap options" doesn't appear , there still gaps.  try fill them in myself wrecks line weights.  , live paint appears work on objects such eyes, nose, annd ears, yet refuses fill in entire body of animal i'm trying colour in.  drew animal in illustrator pen tool , applied line weights line weight tool.  yes there numerous gaps in image.   i have project due on more complicated illustrator file , can't figure out how colour in properly!  please help!  looks

i should first don't know if red files have problem.   i've been editing project day. close premiere cc , come back, , timeline thumbnails on sequences distorted. when try play sequences, audio plays fine , play head scrolls across nothing's wrong. no video playback, however.   moving playhead different spot on on timeline show correct image in project preview window, after several (10-15) seconds. if play sequence long enough, frozen image in preview window change , then--it's it's having hard time processing footage.   the problem have been working on project day no playback issues @ all. whole thing shut down.   i started new project , imported failing project it--sequences, footage, everything. new project worked couple hours...and same problem came back.   anybody have clue what's going on? i'm bit worried since edit (of course) super fast turnaround, , can't work on when it's doing this.   here's slanted/distorted thumbnails on timeline lik

i have iomega external network hdd. in process of deleting folder contained little on 300 gigs of data stopped functioning. show on network error message if tried open folder. took drive out of case , ran seagate drive test on , came healthy. attached windows computer , show in disk manager file system on partitions not recognized. after initial internet search learned uses xfs file system. attached ubuntu computer. 3 partitions showed up. open 2 smaller partitions not open main data partition. got error. “unable mount 996 gb file system. error mounting mount: mount: structure needs cleaning” if go disk manager in ubuntu, drive shows , lists 3 partitions. main data partition shows xfs partition. if highlight partition , run “check file system” comes “file system clean”. if try mount system, error: “error mounting volume...filesystem driver not installed.” appreciate suggestions on how possibly recover data have on drive.

i installed 12.04, have been having trouble installing wireless. lan works fine, , adaptor works fine under windows 7. during istallation live-cd, ubuntu recognised fine , able search networks. after finished installation, nothing happens. meh. ran lsusb, , gets listed fine (as realtek semiconductor corp rtl81188cus).
