Thread: network printer options not viewable

i have set printer server on ibm thinkcentre desktop running 12.04. followed community documentation https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ne...tingwithubuntu. set printers shared using cups admin interface.

on client thinkpad laptop running 12.04, found network printer, no problem, using hostname , ipp protocol. not prompted install driver. printing works when print test page, when check printer properties on client side, can see settings, policies, access control, etc., cannot see printer options. clearly, options needed change landscape, set dpi, etc.

normal network printer options not viewable , changeable via ipp?

ok, no 1 interested in answering this. let's make question easier since first 1 challenging.
