i working on project last night , without warning, every time tried transfer movie clip sequence, audio stopped coming video. sound works , plays in upper left hand window, when transferring clip sequence, audio did not come it. before starting work on project, updated premiere through creative cloud.   this problem has happened before @ beginning of project, , have been able start new sequence without problems. morning, however, when tried new sequence, sound not come in @ all. picture of screen looks when try put in video clip sequence below.     the settings audio same between video , sequence. don't want lose ability add sound when further project. can fix this?   thank you! i can't quite tell image, have audio track targeted? hi, want use 32gb usb memory live ubuntu persistence. initially, tried within ubuntu (12.04-386), boot. afterwards used gparted create 3 partitions on above usb memory: 1 bootable 3.8gb fat32 partition labeled ubuntu 2. 3.8 gb far32 partition labeled windows (for data exchange between oss) 3. large (rest of un allocated space) ext2 partition labeled casper-rw. used unetbootin create persistent ubuntu (same version) on ubuntu partition. rebooted , verified usb worked (i able boot ubuntu). rebooted (into arch) and, root, used "rsync-av" move contents has been in casper-rw folder (in ubuntu partition) otherwise entry large casper-rw partition. afterwards deleted folder casper-rw (and contents) ubuntu partition. trying reboot usb, following error: "initrmfs unable find media containing live filesystem". below see terminal out of current structure , contents of usb memory. please advise! thanks --------usb s

hey all, have ubuntu 11.10 on laptop. have computer 4 yrs. recently, automatically shutdown. notice happened when computer hot, , fan runs crazy fast. example, when play vedio game, warcraft, ~10 minutes, turns out hot. or run big matlab program ~20 minutes, same thing happens. , shutdown itself. question: can fix it? or laptop jsut old. thanks. mike this happens lot on older laptops. every year or take them apart , use bit of canned air dust out. (my ps3 worst culprit) there tutorials on taking apart laptop. take apart far feel comfortable , make sure blow out little vents , , keyboard area. you'll notice quite difference. if , still keeps happening, may chip has become unseated. thermal paste , check out youtube see how re-seat processor. thermal paste wears after few years , becomes necessary. xfce desktop. mint 13 on new install decided replace thunar pcmanfm. latter working fine, not pick volume instructions, such empty trash or delete, or file open commands. of these met error: failed execute program /usr/bin/thunar: success. thunar uninstalled - realised late function more integrated file browser. tried re-install thunar. doesn't work. synaptic rejects install, , apt-get claims version , dependancy issues. there way transfer functionality pcmanfm, or revert thunar? can post results of trying re-install thunar via command line: code: sudo apt-get install thunar and yes, thunar little more integrated xfce maybe should be. search forums here number of other threads trying replace thunar file manager. i editing video while playing scale went ram preview , wouldn't work closed down , reopened problem has happened few times , has been fix. went ram preview beggining , computer crashed, no bluescreen monitors went blank , bios popped up. reopened project , ram previewed beggining , didn't start said requesting frame 2 of ... played few of prefrences eg. clearing cache , purging memory , still didn't work. disabled multiprocessing , ram previewing worked again though multiprocessing work alot faster. tried restarting computer , reinstalling ae still no luck. know fix this? rendering not work either multiprocessing enabled. specs: i7 4770k @ 4.4ghz g.skill ripjawz z 32gb @ 2133mhz gtx 780 samsung 840 pro ssd seagate barracuda 2tb hd that sounds lot system running rather unstable. try same settings in after effects without overclocking cpu, might solve problem. hello, posting here because bug report filed 1 week ago adobe didn't give result -no response @ bug department.   i have 2 serious multicam editing problems.   pc configuration: core i7950, asus p6td deluxe, 12gb ddr3 1600mhz, quadro k4000, ssd system, seagate constellation 7200rpm video editing.   1. when multicam mode on @ program monitor, press play , program doesn't respond @ all . timeline plays till end , program doesn't let wait until playback of whole timeline over. program works again (no "not responding" message in windows).   2. the waveform doesn't appear at multicam audio clip. read in other forums problem found @ premiere pro version 7.1 (october release).   i grateful help.   thank you, stavros symeonidis adobe doesn't typically respond bug reports, nothing unusual there.   however, may not bug because behavior see is unusual, meaning can't duplicate on either of 2 systems , it's not being reported.  more it's wrong system. 

when computer locks up, , can cli ctrl + alt + f2 usually. so, there way relaunch unity command line? tried via command, i've used before when unity locked up: code: unity restart but, says display set 0 or that, , won't launch. so, there way restart gui command line? or should restart computer every time have there? (which isn't annoying when have ssd-really fast boot times.) what happens if type 'init 5'? i have photoshop cs5 installed on osx. i'm planning install windows 7 via bootcamp.  read long time ago there way can windows key same program reduced price?  or mistaken? can't remember read it. think burried in forum somewhere , not among top posts.  don't know validity had.   that said, have buy whole copy use on windows partition?  hope not. nice able run photoshop on both partitions without cost. if costs whole new copy of photoshop i'll have accept having reboot computer between using photoshop , windows programs editing for.   i had edit this. parallels want use. keep getting mixed up.  right cost out of budget, parallels alternative hoping in long run , saving for. i'm thinking of getting in few months.  still wish there can more streamlined way can transfer graphic files between both partitions without having jump through lot of hoops. no answers, anyone? i'm losing faith in community here. i given computer tower @ work, going throw away due failed hard drive. spent $100 (usd) new 40gig hd, 2 gig ram, , other accessories make complete system along hardware had laying around @ home. installed xubuntu12.04 operating system (as processor not quite par run ubuntu12.04). runs great , decided give computer mother replace current useless pos (which running win95 believe). here's issue: live 16 hours away mother. i'll there next week setup , install computer, after that, not regularly available locally assist problems may have. here's question: know of, , have used, software allow me remotely log on , control computer if , when has problems need fixed??? free great, willing pay (some) software if excellent , no free substitutions available. i've done little research on this, opinion uses ubuntu or xubuntu , has done this. run both win7 , ubuntu12.04 on end, if makes difference.

i did test publish few weeks ago when first bought software can not file publish.  using 2013 powerpoint , presenter 9.    to isolate problem, have gotten down basics.  starting 2 page powerpoint includes 1 piece of text , 1 image.  blank background. have saved file in compatability mode, , tried changing file format pppx.  have changed presentation size standard.  have deleted unused text/property boxes. have changed slide manager "advance user" no avail.   i out of options.  suggestions. try publishing without image, or save image different image type, , publish that. i have photoshop cs6, when type in text box on image, text doesn't show on image. show in it's layer area, no matter do, change color/font/size/background, text still not show up. how fix this? is   hidden under layer? the same colour background behind it? too small see?   try using free transform on type layer.  show how big is, , can drag out decentsize if small.   if still in trouble, we'll have dig deeper. i downloaded latest version of muse earlier today , made couple small changes website , uploaded them site. worked fine. later went make couple more changes (including changing name of 1 of pages). after uploading changes website not show of changes (yes, refreshed page), , page renamed results in page not found. if re-upload entire site changes not appear. upload progress bar shows exporting page , uploading along assets, checking site in browser still shows unaltered site (yes, irefreshed page). i've never had problems before. suggestions? what's url site?   in options panel of page properties dialog "export page" checked?   are using publish, file > upload ftp host, or export html , third party ftp program?
