Thread: Impress problems: presentations on second screen?


hi!

have samsung series 9 laptop running ubuntu 12.04, use making presentations. use dual screen setup: presenation in projector , freedom browse through slides , other stuff (like mindmaps) on laptop. not use presenter console, since want more free other stuff on laptop.

in 12.04, have started run problems:
- in unity, unity bar pops on presentation on projector screen. how can rid of it?
- in gnome shell, main screen gnome bar on presenter screen, not on laptop (despite choosing laptop primary)
- in kubuntu (my favourite desktop env), presentation displayed in laptop screen, no matter do. projector screen empty, showing background image, all.

quite frustrated @ moment - teaching @ university , projects less professional image, or need switch windows computers available.. , advice warmly welcome!

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
