hi, having trouble photoshop cc. searched around , yet find else same issue.   i've been using cc few months fine, 3 weeks ago began encountering problem. happens occasionally, 1 file out of ten. doesn't kick in right when photoshop starts, after i'm 3-4 layers file. saving file .psd, restarting photoshop cc , reopening file 'fixes' it, though of course it's annoying have that.   i'll painting standard brush tool brush hardness of 85% or whatever, , solid blocks of white appear around edges. then, if hide/reveal layer, change layer order, change layer opacity or blend mode, whole layer turns solid white few random areas being totally clear. brush error looks like:   none of white supposed there, should plain soft brush stroke. it's not layer style. happens new layer , new brush stroke. first few brush strokes fine , kicks in on fourth or fifth stroke, etc.     i'm using mid-2011 imac, os 10.7. i've increased ram 12gb , keep drivers updated, know

i have read reason leaving hibernation option out because not work hardware. personal perspective bit puzzled though, , reason this: have been using same laptop more 2 years now. switched between xubuntu , ubuntu, , cannot remember noticeable problems hibernation (or suspend). since 12.04 have been using lubuntu, , hibernation seems work once in every 3 tries , suspend has been unreliable network connection gone (and need reboot back) , crash entirely , present me fresh lubuntu login screen. if problems i've had since 12.04 present in past (being on same hardware), i'm pretty sure have noticed , remembered, annoying every time happens. did hibernation (and suspend) work in past (which sounds unlikely... ubuntu lose ability make work?) or has been patchy time... sounds unlikely cannot remember being awful before 12.04. or possible ubuntu/xubuntu works ok while lubuntu has problem? i'm confused... comments?

hello, have 2012 macbook air (5,2) running ubuntu 12.04 installed natively. have installed latest applesmc kernel module mactel-support ppa, , run macfanctld. under normal user operations (web browsing, email, etc) system runs fine , cpu core temps normal (50 - 60 degrees c). if run compile uses both cores lasts more few minutes, cpu temperature gets dangerously hot - 90's c, , i've seen reach 100 c. cancel compile @ point because unsafe temperature running at. during time fans correctly crank maximum speed (6200 rpm), problem isn't fans aren't working correctly. since long-running compiles of embedded linux distros take hours @ time complete, i'd run daemon throttles cpu speed once temps reach threshold (e.g, 90 c). unfortunately cpufreqd not work , segfaults upon starting. issue described here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=644567 have rebuilt ubuntu precise cpufreqd debian package suggested patch, segfaults r

hello, i'm experiencing strange issue: on one laptop cannot connect one particular network, only on ubuntu. however, can connect other networks on machine, can connect without problems particular network on same computer using windows, , can connect network using machine ubuntu. correct: can connect network (i.e. tray icon shows connected 2 out of 3 bars lighted), request times out . firefox (and other browsers) show time-out message, pinging 8.8.8.8 times out, pinging router (192.167.1.1) times out, pinging myself (192.167.1.103) works though. got suggestions? more information: tried setting dns server 8.8.8.8, didn't solve issue. tried manually setting ip address etc. in settings network (instead of using dhcp), didn't help. tried disabling ipv6, doesn't seem work. removed network , added again, checked , double-checked password, etc. rebooted router, checked settings, etc. i've been attempting connect network more week, has

htpc using asrock z77 pro i5 3570. have razer ac1 sound card using toslink avr , intel 9400gt installed. hdmi output routed through pioneer vsx23 panasonic plasma. problem 1: hdmi video out via on-board graphics results in snow , period "glitch". bios screen shows fine kdm , gdm both result in snow on plasma. installed 9400gt , works fine. on-board graphics not acquiring pioneer edid or there other other glitch should looking at. problem 2: board has "hd intel graphics" including hdmi out port presumed allow hdmi audio out. however, no hdmi audio device shows in pulseaudio options or lspci. ubuntu (precise) or linux not have driver recognizes hdmi device in on-board graphics or missing else? i'm not above saying fit , getting new video card 'just works' i'd hoped on-board graphics of 3570/z77 golden instead of non-functional. here lspci results: 00:00.0 host bridge [0600]: intel corporation ivy bridge dram cont

hello, have toshiba l675 running windows 8.1 ie 11 updated win 8. somehow ended flash player 11.9.90.152 debugger version don't need. need regular version. i haven't had success uninstalling version can install regular latest version.i've been around in many circles trying done. player work fine when i'm viewing websites require it. i did win 8.1 update on pc , has same version minus debugger part. i;ve checked windows update , did remove 1 update related flash player. did player play @ all. if tried view video on cnn or whatever need flash player , provide link latest player. but player works fine now. there's flash player uninstaller if ever need it. i configured samba server on linux machine , can browse shares on win7 pc , linux pc. when dismount shared volume on linux server, still remain visible shared drive in win explorer - network (i don't assign drive letter it), , can browse empty share folder. if stop samba, shared drives disappear - @ times after reloading explorer - or if not, folders no longer browsable. question is, how configure samba server via terminal automatically hide shared folders on client pc (windows or linux), when volume unmounted folder on server? require running script or editing samba config file? separate question, how delete obsolete samba shares win explorer after shutting down linux machine or samba daemon, if persist? command can run on linux machine that? i'm surprised standard samba package doesn't have such feature... why leave empty folders around network? i bought new sata drive replace ide hd had ubuntu on. took out ide drive ( wouldn't format on info.) , installed ubuntu on new sata. looks it's installing , recognizes sata drive ( scs13(0,0,0)(sda). when reboot after installation prompt no hard rive found. go bios , see boot option ide primary , secondary master, primary , secondary slave. no mentioning of sata. ps sata drive bought has controller card raid 2 sata ports , 1 ide. can sata boot in maverick.? hello there, 1 seems simple far nobody has managed me. running gnome-shell 3.4. have software-properties-gtk package installed synaptic package manager. when editing sources.list software properties gtk getting message " repositories have changed click reload button". ticked on "do not show message again" box , message gone. there way of getting message back? have purged-unistalled python-software-properties, software-properties-gtk software-properties-common message still missing. thank in advance see told nobody seems know one... anyway of restoring pop messages in gnome-shell? gconf-editor , dconf editor seem not have entries software-properties-gtk missing here?
