Why was McAfee installed without requesting my permission?


usually when installing flash player, can uncheck boxes ensure don't junk installed, when installing latest update today, installed without requesting permission or informing me of it, didn't agree mcafee, why forced upon me?

there's update link installs no opt out. it's been reported months ago. has been suggested adblockers hide "opt out" on download page ad, tested morning , made no difference if disabled adblock or not.

you can download adobe flash player installers directly right clicking 1 (or both) of following links.

flash player activex (internet explorer)

flash player plug-in (all other browsers)

 

i use avoid bundled software.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
