Thread: Unable to install wvdial package from .deb file on Ubuntu 12.04


hi,

use ubuntu 12.04 on hp pavilion-dv6-6050 laptop. tried install wvdial packaage .deb file. while installed other per-requisite packages(viz. wvstreams, libconf etc.), unable install package using .deb file via software centre.

unable click on install icon , software centre shows message " install wvdial trusted source".

can me proceed , install wvdial package?

that package located in repository. shouldn't have manually install , dependencies. did search software center package? if it's not showing up, can terminal , run:

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
