Using Captivate to Record Action in a Virtual Machine

hello,

so i've searched forum quite bit info on these questions , closets answers find in 2007 please forgive spam if it’s been answered more recently.

i'm ooking training productions on our software , rather loading products on machine, i'd install them on vmware virtual machine , have captivate record inside of image.  couple of questions:

  1. is out there doing now?  if so, what’s process , need watch out for?
  2. am legit regarding licensing if load captivate inside vm?  know 1 post long time ago said wasn't working because of clock synchronization.

any feedback on appreciated.

folks!

hi eddiebo924,

i have used captivate quite within vm (using vmware) , yet have not had problems speak of, 1 thing doing earlier on, forget working in vm, , accidentally move mouse outside vm , lose input, use in full screen mode.

as far licensing goes, no different norm computer, if allowed install on 2 computers, 1 can physical , other vm, not both running @ same time.

one thing highly recommend, host machine has plenty of ram (so can allocate more vm) , graphics card, cp swallows graphics resource can hold of...

i have not run problems stopped me doing wanted or needed.....

one more note, use latest version of vm software can, performace gains on recent years brilliant.

hope helps

kind regards

rossco
