Excluding chapters from automatic chapter numbering

hi guys, first time poster!

 

i need help.

 

i have set each of chapters automated chapter titles (type>text variables>insert variable>chapter number)

 

so part works fine.


the problem have (as can see in screen shot), books, chapter 1 begins in 7th entry on book panel. instead, chapter 1 has 7 chapter number. doing right? can't find solution. should files such toc , copyright pages etc. not in book compilation? want export 1 whole pdf (which know how do) rather have splice pdfs together. checked "document numbering options" , under chapter numbering don't see option exclude first 4 or 5 entries , make 7th in list 'chapter 1'

 

any ideas?

i don't particularly use feature. when use book file chapter numbering manually. don't know how big book, manual chapter numbering option.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
