Thread: seamonkey 2.11 downloaded but how do I install it?


hello all,

had been using seamonkey 2.8 prompted download upgraded version 2.11.

i've downloaded can't figure out how install it. i'm confused actual de-install , install directions seamonkey's site here:

went scouting on net , found info installing via ppa. saw page , followed advice:
http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/ppa/ubuntuzilla

when went software center did accept authorizations. but, when searched seamonkey through software center offers me existing version 2.8.

*sigh*

i'm thinking have manually install 2.11. do installed? , should undo authorization gave software center check ubuntuupdates.org ppa or leave in there?

i have not used ubuntuzilla ppa lately, if remember correctly packages had different names. seamonkey "seamonkey-mozillabuild" or similar.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
