InDesign CS6 crashes on launch when logged into a network user account (OSX)


hello,

 

i'm working in college computer lab has 18 imacs - each student has network user account use log work off of our server. of files stored on server, not locally on computer. imacs running osx 10.8.5 indesign cs6. our server older unit running osx server 10.5.8.

 

each student has user directory on servers hd array. way have resolved issue before remove students user account in workgroup manager program on server, delete user folder (on server), , re-create account, should last resort.

 

here's have tried far (but no avail) resolve crashing on network user accounts.

 

1. delete students adobe indesign folder in user directory: user/"username"/library/preferences/adobeindesign.

2. delete indesign user prefs when launching indesign on network account cmd+shift+cntrl+option

3. replace adobe indesign folder (in user/"username"/library/preferences/) newly created network user test account works.

 

the issue tied network user account, if log local user account  indesign starts without hitch.

any ideas @ all? still experiencing issue, , i've went through other threads people having similiar problems - on adobes radar? our version of indesign here patched latest version.

 

anyway, resolution found mitigate crashing re-create network user account.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
