Thread: Bluebuntu... a Bluefish question

i know not directly ubuntu question, sort of...

i'm migrating ubuntu windows. far, linux/ubuntu environment , community. i'm wishing i'd done years ago.

quandary morning how server files in bluefish once you've screwed password. have 4 ftp accounts use same host. set improper password under bluefish's open url user id (at least think that's did) , had "remember forever" checked. never prompts me user or password; gives me red tab host name (fails connect). bluefish open url work expected on different ubuntu computer.

so, how can find bluefish file contains url information , edit it? or, how can reset open url password in bluefish? or, how can use different user id same host once you've saved 1 id remember forever (it apparently that)?

pardon elementary question spent 2 hours trying answer 1 of 3 questions above.

ok since no 1 has been able solve riddle, i'll give own novice answer novice question i've spent quite bit of time finding it...

bluefish apparently not store url passwords in file; there no file edit; problem had nothing bluefish. password url stored seahorse passwords , keys utility. open passwords , keys utility, find , delete entry erroneous url under passwords tab, , close passwords , keys. bluefish prompts id , password when opening url.

still unanswered: how can use different user id same host once you've saved 1 id remember forever?

have 3 websites on 1 server. have ftp account each , 1 master account server "root" access. use same host name. if save "remember forever" id host, never option change when call host under open url. apparently, not option or possibility, but, can live that.
