Thread: Live USB- no write permission

hi,
completed persistent live ubuntu (12.04-386) on (large) usb memory contains additional 18gb ext4 partition (besides casper 4gb fat32 one).
while additional partition gets mounted, default user can't write (save files) in partition, nor can write in home (although can write in home/documents..).

how can write permissions locations?
question, how create persistent user pw?

i not know persistent installs, if want features of install why not full install on flash drive? have 12.04 64 bit running more test in 8gb on 16gb flash drive rest data.
