Thread: Suspend not working


running ubuntu 12.04. system suspends fine, not return life. reset button it. (ctrl-alt-del unresponsive, ctrl-alt-f1 opens shell not let anything).

have found threads on problem quite old releases. this (see #123) cavsfan seems raise issue 12.04.

problem proposed solution in post related nvidia card machine doesn't have (it has intel hd 3000).

has encountered problem , found workaround? i'm new linux , don't know info should provide diagnose problem.

appreciated.

can provide following further information:
  1. the make , model of computer
  2. a copy of pm-suspend.log file
    terminal prompt, type in
    code:
    pastebinit /var/log/pm-suspend.log
    ...and post link generated.
  3. the results of following commands:

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
