hi guys i've made switch ubuntu 12.04 lts , pretty happy until problem started cropping up: time time, running application freezes, keyboard becomes unresponsive , i'm unable unless forcibly hard boot laptop again. has happened thrice far, once while running darktable , other 2 while running chrome. on restarting, got error screen (attached) message right @ end: 82.196012 code: bad eip value. when restarted once again, didn't previous screen, instead got number of error windows (also attached) messages such as: invalid problem report problem report damaged , cannot processed. ioerror('crc check failed 0xab26dab1l!=0x6a2f9eafl',). restarted 3rd time around , opened chrome post message , froze again (i noticed compiz had stopped responding). tried methods (ctrl + alt + reisub , numerous variations , not keyboard respond had reboot again). kinda shook up. experts able help? thanks aj p.s. had take pictures of sc...

hi all, not sure how this...i make drop shadows around boxes. when box fill colour screen, drop shadow takes on screen , therefore pale. have tried in manual can't find... tia by "box fill colour screen" mean "no fill colour" or "almost transparent"? because real light, shadow can cast objects , if set fill colour none or high transparencey, then, of course, shadow becomes more pale. remaining box frame, if there any, can not cast shadow dark filled box.   you might want play around drop shadow settings fill or stroke. pse 12: using share -> flickr; pick album, pick share, pick flickr - message "are sure want perform action on of displayed photos?", click yes.  goes through "preparing files"for while, presents dialog, apparently flickr, offering upload flickr, allowing naming of set, setting of permissions , such.  shows preview of images uploaded - , way wrong.  lots of repeated images, incomplete collection - missing.  upload anyway.  when completes, offers visit flickr or done.  visit flickr or other time.  uploaded set neither full album nor mistaken preview, set - no repeats, less full album.  in recent uploads, in 1 case 20 or 23 uploaded, in 10/13, in 21/46 - seems quite random?   unhappy.   fix suggestions?   jim More discussions in Photoshop Elements adobe

i'm running win 8.0 64-bit,  ie 10, , flash version 11.900.152.   for part on past year, flash player has worked fine.  couple of months ago presented green screen problem ( audio ok ), , apparently took reversion previous restore point in windows fix it.  now, again , can't seem fix it.  i've been through "try this" list, , nothing works.  have no idea what's causing it, haven't visited different sites, system clean.  breaks, , i'd prefer root of problem rather blindly going restore points "see if fixes it".   help ! 99.9% of time, "green screen" caused outdated or corrupted video drivers.   see: forums.adobe.com/thread/945765  instructions. i'm beginner trying make layout of several images. source images pdf's , want save layout new pdf. when bring images layout, color in workspace identical color in source pdf's. however, if folio preview, color different. if export layout pdf, resulting pdf's colors match folio preview not source images. i've tried disabling color management find, beginner , have not found necessary settings. appreciate help. folio preview digital publishing suite output , isn't best way preview. accurate color can see if choose view > overprint preview. don't want disable color management, in fact, don't think can.
