Thread: Dual boot with Windows XP and Ubuntu 12.04


hi, have installed ubuntu 12.04 along side windows xp. unable boot windows xp, ubuntu working. every time choose option windows xp first boot window; blank screen appears , returned boot window showing options. partition specs as,-

please tell me wrong.

if grub has menu entry of xp's boot files there , can mount & read partition.

post see if there xp issues can see, windows issue may need chkdsk and/or fixboot windows installcd's repair console.

boot repair -also handles lvm, gpt, separate /boot , uefi dual boot.:

can repair many boot issues or 'create bootinfo' report (other options) & post link creates, can see exact configuration diagnose advanced problems.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
