Thread: computer programming and Ubuntu

hey.. i'm changing major in college computer programming i'm shopping around laptop school. i'm relatively new linux, ubuntu i'm enthusiastic diving right in. think having laptop just ubuntu os conflict programming classes (i'm thinking software or won't have me in sync teacher or other classmates)? thinking of getting system76 or wiping away windows on new laptop, consider settling dual boot if think better option, thanks.

it depends on particular school/class. unix-centered, , fine ubuntu, windows-cetered, , might problem. can run windows in virtualbox that's unconvenient, dual-booting might better choice.

basically: ask around know classes , software used.
