Thread: cant boot to Ubuntu but windows runs perfectly

i installed ubuntu 10.04 beside windows 7 (not wubi). seemed work except monitor problem think had worked out.

upgraded ubuntu 11... seemed go ok.

upgraded ubuntu 12.

after that, not boot either ubuntu 12 or windows7

installed boot-restore (i think name of it) using livecd.

computer boot straight windows7 only!

used livecd , ran "fdisk-l" , shows if have 3 "fat", 2 ubuntu , 1 other partition.

looked @ harddrive using windows 7 program , shows 148mb windows (not rest of 320mb of harddrive).

on other desktop computer, when turn on computer, gives me menu choose either windows or linux. computer in question here never gives me option .

how ubuntu??

was app boot repair? if not, install while on livecd desktop , run "recommended repair". if fails fix things, can run boot info script same app. post contents or link of file generates , can take look.

link boot repair in signature line.
