Thread: Setup to use the existing VLAN


i setting servers, network admin set have use vlan 51. easy on esxi server put in 51 vlan menu. can't find need put /etc/network/interfaces on ubuntu server. the instructions find instruct how create vlan in linux. want use existing vlan 51. how do that?

i think it's easy, in /etc/network/interfaces use eth0.51 instead of eth0.

have tried that?

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
