Thread: Server 12.4 install from USB


hey! i'm having trouble installing ubuntu server 12.4 usb stick. there no cdrom or hd in machine. drive usb.

don't have ubuntu installed. d/l iso , using xboot burned partitioned usb.

can boot usb, of course fails when looks .seed file /cdrom.

i've spent several hours looking solutions, , tried mounting usb stick , mounting iso image /cdrom. started work, failed.

ideas?

i'm surprised xboot doesn't work, i've tried few different solutions , stopped looking when yumi http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-mu...t-usb-creator/ worked.

build bootable livecd on flash drive. lets boot lots of different oses same drive - no partitioning needed.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
