Thread: Can't install WINE in 64 bits Ubuntu 12.04.1


it driving me insane.

happens me official repositories or ubuntu-wine ppa, wine version.

in terminal, sudo apt-get install wine, or sudo apt-get install wine1.5 or sudo apt-get install 1.4...:

code:
some packages not installed. may mean have  requested impossible situation or if using unstable  distribution required packages have not yet been created  or been moved out of incoming.  following information may resolve situation:    following packages have unmet dependencies:   wine : depends: wine1.4 not going installed  e: unable correct problems, have held broken packages.
(according synaptic, no package in system broken).

in synaptic:
the following packages have unresolved dependencies (...)
wine:
depends: wine1.4 not going installed

tried this:

echo "foreign-architecture i386" | sudo tee /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/multiarch  sudo chmod 644 /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/multiarch
no help.

sudo apt-get install -f
