Thread: Accessing Win7 Shared Drive


hi all,
i'm totally new linux. installed lubuntu 12.04 on 8 yrs old laptop , love performance.

here's i'm trying accomplish. primary computer windows 7 ultimate 64 bit attached external drive. win7 box have static ip of xxx.xxx.xxx.150 , i've shared out external attached drive "blacx".

i'm trying access external drive on win7 box via lubuntu laptop.

used alt+f2 , "smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.150/blacx". error message got is:
failed execute child process "smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.150/blacx" (no such file or directory)

i'm not sure go here. appreciated.

sorry dumb question here. did try smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.150/ , login , browse blacx ?

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
