Acrobat XI won't recognize scanner


i installed acrobat xi replacing acrobat 9 , program won't recognize scanner.

 

setup: windows 7 x64, canon mg6120

 

all other programs, include photoshop, work fine scanner. scanner works in other user profiles (for acrobat xi) on computer, not in main profile. scanner on list of devices acrobat xi, when asked scan, program cannot find scanner. if attempt failed scan, on logout user profile error associated logtransport2.exe. error occurs when acrobat xi attempts scan fails.

 

i have tried deleting local app data acrobat in user profile, uninstalled , reinstalled printer nothing seems work. believe configuration error in specific user profile, cannot find out information stored.

i have same problem today too

i have adobe acrobat standard 9.5.5 - won't recognize scanner

 

i've used both acrobat 9.5.5 , scanner (brothers mfc-6490cw) running windows 7 years without problems.  on tues. nov. 19, 2013  used acrobat scan it. starting yesterday nov. 23, 2013 acrobat error message "error while interacting scanner: selected scanner not found" , when go "configure presets" choice "please select device" - no devices listed. today tried reloading drivers, didn't help.

 

nothing has changed on computer except downloaded , installed windows , adobe updates throughout past month or so.

 

i suspect maybe 1 of updates caused problem, tried system restore, didn't help.

 

so ... have ideas?
