Thread: System Information upon login

how system information displayed upon login in ubuntu server 12.04?

ask 2 reasons :

1) i'd know program is

2) have upgraded 10.04 machine 12.04 recently, using do-release-upgrade, , server not show system information upon login. fix that.

i think part of landscape-common package.

(must run sudo or root)

can disable running:
code:
dpkg-reconfigure landscape-common
chose option not display system information.

also, if don't want other stuff showing when login:

code:
unlink /etc/motd echo "" > /etc/motd echo "" > /var/run/motd
that should clear everything. can add own message /etc/motd.

you'll have log out , log in see results.

hope helps.
