Thread: MDADM will not email

hi all,

running ubuntu 64 bit server 12.04 mdadm.

isp verizon , cannot mdadm email function work.

can send send email other applications, not mdadm.

here mdadm config file:

then try run test:

mdadm --monitor --scan --test --oneshot

, seems complete (returns command prompt) no email gets sent.

have ideas why?

note: if matters verizon uses ssl mail on port 465, not standard smtp on 25.
