Thread: NFS only reaches 2.3 mb/s anyone know how to speed it up?


hi,

have 2 computers, both running ubuntu 12.04.


on 1 have set nfs share, , other mounts share.

computer acting nfs server wired router via gigabit ethernet.

client on wireless.

nfs seems reach 2.3 mb/s..

sshfs (mounted through nautilus) reaches 5 mb/s..

ideas?

tried tweaking rsize , wsise, didnt make of difference..

export variables follows:

code:
(rw,fsid=0,crossmnt,nohide,insecure,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check,no_wdelay,sync)
and

code:
(rw,crossmnt,nohide,insecure,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check,no_wdelay,sync)

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
