Thread: Losing sudo on SSH


the strangest thing has occurred , can't seem figure out why. i'm @ training work , have decided scp files home server. seems fine, except fact when log in not member of sudo group more. when type 'groups' on command line, name comes along 1 other group 'developers' i'm not sure why ssh strips off group. test (just test) tried editing /etc/ssh/ssh_config allow root login (just test folks). can't log in root! doing wrong here?

1. you'd need edit "sshd_config", that's ssh<(d)>_config

2. work if root account enabled password.

3. you'd have restart sshd change take effect.

wait minute, if you've lost sudo, how in world did edit /etc/* ?
