Thread: Java upgrade


i running ubuntu 12.04 , trying upgrade java version 7.5 cannot install work. followed instructions on java sight installing under linux other rh. please help.

the easiest method contained in java wiki in signature.

under "oracle java 7" section command line methods. in section link webupd8.org called "using webupd8.org's strikingly simple method".

later there section choosing java set alternative. webupd8's scripts take care of setting alternative, check anyway.

1 runs issues after having installed other methods, if did oracle's website should fine. choose java 7 update 6 provided in list of alternatives.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
