hi!

i've setup first lamp server know stuff isn't amateurs; web server restricted , stay way. still have lot learn feel have accomplished huge thing here.

don't know why (i think might know why) cant access website device on internet connection unless go it's private ip address.

way know how access public ip or domain name through online proxy server. ie hidemyass . com

anyway --for testing purposes i'd love an easy way see site live without having access directly. in other words, experience visitor would. hope makes sense...

go easy on me it's still first day...

step 1. did confirm isp not blocking port 80? can check open ports here:
http://www.canyouseeme.org/. might need other steps before try, or until works.

step 2. trying access domain name or public ip? if it's domain name, have create record pointing router public ip (or dynamic dns) typing domain make public ip.

step 3. did forward port 80 (and 443 if need it) on router private ip of server on lan?

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
