Thread: Creating liveCD from existing server installation

i make bootable live cd exact same environment existing install on hard drive. know ubuntu desktop can use remastersys, requires gui , won't run on server edition. i've run across method involves chroot , using apt-get add additional packages want include, there things i've done install wouldn't know how using method (like installing enthought distribution of python source using elaborate .sh file). there options, similar remastersys, take existing install , build livecd iso image? if helps, don't need have option install cd, boot start running processes have set run @ startup.

it easier use external hard drive , use clonezilla create image.
