Thread: how to access windows 7 filesystem from ubuntu?


hello - have windows 7 machine , i'm running ubuntu through virtualbox. i'm trying copy files on windows 7 machine ubuntu machine.

tried doing basic copy , paste of files doesn't appear work. can copy , paste text windows 7 ubuntu need ability copy entire files.

did quick google , 1 person said can navigate windows 7 filesystem ubuntu , copy on files need windows 7 ubuntu. created share on windows 7 folder needed copy i'm not clear on how access folder through ubuntu. can give me guidance on how this?

you'll need use "shared folder" feature of virtualbox. included docs better job of explaining how use i'm to, or there's nice tutorial here:

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
