mozilla took update policy of chrome, kept there old version numbering system

i think it's clear other distributions inflated version numbers marketing purposes, , i've had field (way many times) question "why isn't yours 6.x" or worse "when upgrade linux 6.0" drives home effectiveness of simple trick. move glibc , else using 6.x now, made sense go @ least 6.0, make clear people don't know linux slackware's libraries, compilers, , other stuff not 3 major versions behind. thought they'd using 7.0 now, no matter. we're @ least "one better", right?
it's hard argue since ubuntu's version update cycle pretty same firefox , chrome.
