Thread: 10.04 to 12.04 problem with auto suggest


after have upgraded 10.04 12.04 have problems in web browser or other programs when input data in input field after shows pop-up box suggestions can't input data anymore.

ideas look?

-> solution create new user , delete old one, of course backup personal (not system) data first need.

if you,
home directory, , reinstall 10.04.
normal use on 10.04, many issue 12.04 @ present.

in stall 12.04 fresh in new partition try.
12.04 has enough bugs in itself.
not waste time them update 10.04.

how ever fastest way try use new updated 12.04 of yours,
use synaptic , remove browsers.

and go delete folders has created too.
synaptic can't remove config files, , sometimes,
after reinstallation still has same problems.

did fixed similar issue once method,
after few days of wasting hours , trust synaptic remove you.

after "removed all" old folders of browsers.
new installation of browswers should solve problems.

don't have confident 12.04 fix that.
mine happen when ethier 10.04 or 11.04 installation,
can't remember sure, , procedure fix it.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
