i have modern computer, first time in life, hp probook blah blah blah. anyways know 1 can used hackintosh, i'd drop lubuntu alongside win7 well. problem before lubuntu or osx install, have fingerprint scanner-to-boot-up deal, , i'd keep feature. grub 2 override this? or should disable fingerprint scanner pops after bios? if need clarification, let me know, grammar terrible (physics freshman).

what feature? kind of secure boot? more precise, when fingerprint scanner kick in, before os boots? bios feature , wouldn't overwritten grub. if windows feature or feature of windows boot loader, grub deactivate it. however, without knowing how implemented, question difficult answer.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
