Thread: Random Google Map/Earth Question...


i'm trying build video , want show smooth transition of country zooms in specific location. google earth of course came mind, when you're zooming in gets choppy second or so. when let cache , repeat steps several times acts that.

on nexus 7 tablet within google map (with satellite enabled) operates need to. it's smooth, quick, , defined.

tried google maps on laptop , instantly snaps there. there's no transition flowing full united states view denver colorado, etc. hoping smooth transitions since, of course, want video decent , appealing.

guess i'm stuck @ 2 crossroads. on 1 hand, figure out how make google earth run smoother (i3 desktop, 8gb ram, ssd) , use kazam screencast it, or can same google maps on computer if there's way somehow enable smooth transition i'm after instead of instantaneous "snap" location seems do.

other option if computer route dead end find kazam-like video recorder records entire screen avi or mp4 format , on tablet, acceptable since it's far 320x240 resolution. know can take screenshots simultaneously hitting power , down volume button on n7, video? tablet idea i'm 50/50 on. when zoom in, actual white tag appears says denver, colorado. easier viewers see on screen. on flip side, doesn't zoom in far prefer, considering easy read tag identify "denver colorado", versus computer versus has text on green landscaping might more difficult read on screen, it's minor thing complain about.

ideas guys offer i'd appreciate!

try enabling fly function, should make smooth.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
