Thread: How to change CPU fan speed on ThinkPad?

i checked this post on askubuntu, op bios not have setting 'smart fan'. bios though has similar called 'thermal performance' wherein it's set maximum performance.

using hardware sensors indicator fan speed barely reaches 3000 rpm (it's stuck around 2600 2700 rpm) compared indicated rpm of laptop 5400 rpm.

there fan control setup 10.04 thinkpad here don't want risk since it's meant rather outdated distro already.

there way change fan speed if can't access through bios?
