Thread: 12.04 Freeze after Login


heyho,

after updateing system 12.04, freezes every time log in. rescured data strg+alt+f1 , reinstalled system new dvd.

same problem. when enter password gui freezes. first things icons appear.

my system:
radeon hd 6850
core i5 760
8gm ram , normal harddisk 512gb

what i've done far in no special order:
- reinstall xdriver, try somehow configure it, works ----> more broken before
- install grafic drivers amd
- install other "gui" in kubuntu, xubuntu or gnoeme3
- reinstall usb-stick
- network install

@ moment have more or less halfworking version of debian, making problems display.

hope has idea can solve this. realy need pc work, , cant friendly normal debian or other distributions arch linux or so.

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
