Thread: AMD 5850, distorted graphics


hello everyone!

yesterday installed ubuntu 12.04 , installed , enabled proprietary drivers amd graphics. great far, loving it!

however, when doing game-related (or requireing 3d?) , seems comes out distorted / flickering / weird.

or try explain more closely:

glxgears runs fine. however, running starcraft 2 in playonlinux, frames show me glxgears cogs in frames, odd , weird. has else encountered same issues , have clue how fix it? love swap on linux on full-time.

in advance

do enabled tear free in amd ccc?

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. (1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
