Thread: Dual boot problem

hallo anyone,

dualboot problem:

used gparted create partitions:

first partion 160 gb ntfs
2nd partion 300 gb ext4
3rd partition 4 gb linux-swap

first installed vista on ntfs partition. restarted laptop , works.

continued install cd ubuntu 11.04. seemed go fine. no hickups.

did not use option have dual boot process. went on alternative advanced option. got point able choose 2nd partition of 300 gb , assigned boot (/) , continued install ubuntu 11.04.

after restart did not possibility choose between operating systems, instead started vista.

did go wrong , have option choose between installed operating systems when laptop starts ?

if has suggestion, appreciated.
