Thread: Is "Web of Trust" a reliable add-on for firefox?


if want idea whether website (which may arise result of web-search) safe visit or not, said "web of trust" useful. there conflicting views utility. see experts in forum think it.

when suspicious, test safety of website getting opinion of mcafee site advisor; though doing irrititaing. is/are there easier way(s) decide whether should avoid visiting suspicious looking website or not? have no-script have not configured firewall.

i've seen recommendations wot here on forum, , had on day-to-day laptop while.

own experience although , useful, susceptible false positives on sites use free dns services such dyndns or no-ip.
