Thread: Evolution and new mail notification in panel


last friday upgraded ubuntu 10.04 12.04. went well, noticed networkmanager had been instaled. use wicd since nm connects , disconnects time in hp compaq 6720s.

uninstalled networkmanager , use wicd ( working wifi) in 12.04.

problem new mail notification ( use evolution 3.2.3) doesn't appear in envelope in panel. also, when click on envelope inboxes set 0 although there new messages coming without reading.

of course have enabled in preferences of evolution: indicate new mail messages in panel, play sound , show notification. got sound when new mail arrives , see bubble in desktop indicating new message no in envelope in panel.

in upgrading 12.04 thunderbird installed don't use , haven't configured account in it. can uninstalled without problem?

problem related use wicd instead of nm?. how see new mail notification in panel working?

hi, if developing platform independent software in linux using gtk+/gtkmm , you've managed cross compile windows, guide you. i'm posting because after researching topic myself, encountered many posts people have abandoned gtk+/gtkmm wxwidgets because of gtks ugly default appearance in windows/wine. gtk+ themeable in windows/wine gnome. have set correctly . . . here's how. guide gtkmm gtk+ similar. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
