Strange behavior with PSD's

i'm presently working 2 page document in id cs5.5. cmyk document both cmyk , greyscale images.

the strange behaviour this: have 1 greyscale image (tiff) repeats on page 1 , page 2. image looks different page 1 page 2. triple checked  (opactiy, effects, etc.) , began deleting elements on page 2 1 one.

as deleted psd file greyscale images on page 2 changed in appearance, match page 1. psd file in question in cmyk transparent background. frack going on?

i'm more concerned whether makes difference when goes print or if it's weird screen stuff in indesign.

anyone who's heard of or knows why happens - love hear you.

thanks!

i belive due transparency being on page. shouldn't affect output of gray images...but check in acrobat.
