Thread: Anyone able to get the nbcolympics.com live streaming to work?


i've tried mint 13 laptop using chrome dev. log in using comcast credentials fine. when try view stream, video box blank.

i've tried on mint 11 htpc using chrome dev, same result above. i've tried firefox 14 & 15 on machine. logs in fine, , keeps asking me pick cable provider again. , again. , again.

same login credentials working fine on wife's win7 laptop chrome i'm stumped why won't work on mine.

as per this post on adobe website:

step one: install hal

sudo apt-get install hal

step two: quit web browser

step three: clean out adobe flash folder:

cd ~/.adobe/flash_player
rm -rf nativecache assetcache apsprivatedata2

process worked me. in case, i'd been able go nbcolympics.com , click log begin verification process, never given chance enter comcast credentials. doing steps above fixed everything.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
