Thread: unable to see ide drive on combined esata sata/pata dock


hi wonder if can me weird problem. run ubuntu on external usb drive (wd passport) plugged asus m50sv. using set have no problems accessing connected drives. includes 2 drives connected esata 1 2tb sata drive , other 500gb ide drive. when run ubuntu laptops internal drive 250gb sata drive, able see sata drive on esata dock. if remove sata drive dock able access ide drive. when re-insert sata drive ide drive vanishes. have tried 3 different versions of ubuntu still problem persists. if can me appreciate it. many al-man

(1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
