Thread: "sudo" command line password


i use sudo command, asks password. however, gives me few seconds enter it, , cant type fast! how can make give me more time or not require password? have seen directions disable password, requires become root, , needs password!

i have never seen time out. perhaps pressing "enter" key accident instead of key near it. password normal password , won't show on screen type it, press "enter" when you're done.

(1) firstly, download , install gtkmm windows using wine. Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
