Problem installing 11.9.900.117


i having problem installing update. when startup laptop, avast tells me wy software security critical , update prompts me with. have downloaded install , run several times wont install. appears in task manager running @ 23140k , between 00 , 02 cpu thats does. time me go bed , shut down laptop until next time when have go through again.

i using xp firefox 25.

this runs gamut "clean install".

download following files right clicking , selecting "save target as" or "save link as".

flash player uninstaller

flash player activex (internet explorer)

flash player plug-in (all other browsers)

save files downloads folder - do not run yet.

reboot system.

before opening else, go downloads folder , run uninstaller remove instances of flash player.

next, run activex installer.

lastly, run installer other browsers.

once flash player installed go to: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp

download both files, 1 on right first right clicking , selecting "save target as"... other clicking , following steps download full activex installer.

once installed, see:enabling flash player in internet explorer  and: activex filtering in internet explorer  make 100% sure flash player enabled , not being blocked activex controls.

Thread: Twinview issues

hi all, recovered white screen of death having reinstalling nvidia drivers via command line in recovery mode. when rebooted after that, fine, except 1 of monitors not displaying anything. ran sudo nvidia xconfig, created conf file me, issue not resolved. in x server settings, secondary monitor (the 1 not displaying), detected , enabled in twinview, resolution not detected , screen black. if try switching workspaces, little window showing workspaces show second monitor sitting next monitor, same in x server settings. options have resolving this? lot!
